Health services

Nurses (RN)

Coordinates and supervises total resident health care activities, provides professional assessment and intervention; functions as the key individual in assuring the deliver of quality health care for each resident

  • Must possess a current California License with at least one ear of experience providing direct patient care

  • Must e able to read, write and speak English

 

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)

  1. Medical Center - SNF  Full Time (7-3pm)
  2. Assisted Living Center Per Diem (3-11pm)
  3. Assisted Living Center Per Diem (11-7am)

Under the direction of a licensed nurse, monitors resident health status and assists in activities of daily living with the purpose of maintaining the highest level of independent function

  • Current California Nursing Assistant Certificate

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills in English

Apartment Cleaner

Thorough cleaning of resident apartments

General Housekeeper

General cleaning of resident apartments and community common areas

 

  • High school graduate or GED

  • 2 years housekeeping experience in residential community or hospitality setting

  • Previous experience working in independent, assisted living, skilled nursing or residential home for elderly preferred

  • Must be able to speak and understand conversational English


dining services

 

Entry-Level Kitchen Staff

Various shifts, meals included, we will train you!

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

 

Sanitation Worker

Maintains kitchen work areas in a clean and orderly condition

  • Must be able to speak and understand conversational English

 

Server

Prepare dining room for meal service, serve meals to residents, attending to their needs throughout the meal (weeknights)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

 

Trayline Worker 

Completes tally, completes tray assembly and delivers trays in a courteous, timely and safe fashion; retrieves and disassembles trays

  • H.S. diploma or GED
  • Must understand the seven types of diets and be able to distinguish diet foods, and understand how item on menu corresponds to item on steam table
  • Must be familiar with state regulations regarding food preparation and delivery, diets, and sanitation

 

Line Cook - Full time

Prepares all food on menu for residents and their guests, including special diets, special dinners and holiday and special events, as well as menu for employee grill and employee events

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • 2 years’ experience as a Cook in an institutional setting

  • Basic cooking skills

  • Knowledge of sanitation and food safety

  • Must understand, write and speak English fluently

  • Must know how to use all kitchen equipment

  • Previous Experience with Therapeutic Diets is a plus.

  • Must be Available to Work Nights, Weekends and Holidays

 


ACTIVITIES

Evening & Weekend Driver (Part Time, On Call)

Provides transportation for residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing, in accordance with established Casa
Dorinda policies and procedures, and governmental regulations. Assists the Activities Director in the development and implementation of
a quality Activity program, as it relates to programs that include transportation; such as special outings and daily shopping, and additional
events as planned and appropriate

  • California State Class B driver’s license (with passenger (P) endorsement) required

  • Must participate in the DOT random drug and alcohol check program

  • DMV Pull Notice check annually with no serious violations recorded


SECURITY

Officer  (Full Time; Friday - Monday; 6pm-4:30am)

Responsible for overall protection of Casa Dorinda residents, staff, and property

  • Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High school graduate or GED

  • Minimum Experience required: Previous experience in Security position preferred; previous experience working with elderly is desirable

 


PLANT OPERATIONS

Director of Plant Operations

Plans, organizes, directs, controls and coordinates employees and activities to provide maximum service to residents, staff and property through maintenance staff, contractors. Plans, prepares, and maintains the department budget, completes employee evaluations

Will oversee:

  • Department Capital Budget

  • Department Cost Management

  • Project Planning

  • Management of Project Personnel

  • Document Management

  • Risk Management

  • Design Input

  • Policy and Protocol Development

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED

  • 4 years in a management role, 3 years of experience in the maintenance field, knowledge of construction regulations

  • Must speak and understand English, be computer literate, and have knowledge of general maintenance equipment

 

Painter - Full Time

Performs variety of painting and coating duties and related tasks

  • High school graduate or GED

  • Experience in surface preparation, repair, finishing and painting of interior and exterior surfaces, knowledge of proper and safe use of hand and power tools

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English and be able to understand and follow oral and written directions in English

  • Must have current California driver’s license
