How to Give to Casa Dorinda
Philanthropy at Casa
What we do for others lives on
History of Philanthropy
Casa Dorinda was established as a non-profit community in 1983 by the Montecito Retirement Association’s Board of Directors. Because of Casa’s tax-exempt status, and the generous giving of our residents, there have been many successful philanthropic endeavors that have significantly enhanced our campus, and the lives of our residents and staff.
The Medical Center was built through a resident-led philanthropic effort in the 1990s.
The Casa Scholarship Fund was established in the 1990s, and has successfully awarded scholarships every year.
The resident-led Legacy Campaign was launched in 2016, and set out to raise $8 million. The goal was exceeded, and the new Center for Personal and Memory Care opened in 2021.
Our Philanthropic Mission
Our philanthropic mission is to enhance the quality of life for residents, improve our campus, bolster our financial strength, and support our employees. Residents are passionate about their home and the Casa Dorinda family. We are grateful for the partnership we have with our residents who invest their time, talent, and resources, making our community a place unlike any other in the nation!
