health services

Let your caregiver skills flourish in our community.  We have Full Time and Part Time positions available and various shifts around the clock.

Nurses (RN & LVN)

Coordinates and supervises total resident health care activities, provides professional assessment and intervention; functions as the key individual in assuring the delivery of quality health care for each resident

  • Must possess a current California License with at least one year of experience providing direct patient care

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

 

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)

Under the direction of a licensed nurse, monitors resident health status and assists in activities of daily living with the purpose of maintaining the highest level of independent function

  • Current California Nursing Assistant Certificate

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills in English

 

Social Services Designee (32 hours per week)

Responsible for identification of psychosocial and emotional needs of residents, allowing each resident the opportunity to obtain and maintain his highest possible emotional and psychological well-being

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related area

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in long-term care social services

  • Must have working knowledge of Title 22 regulations

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills in English

Activities Assistant (Full Time Wednesday - Sunday)

Assist the Program Leader and Director of Activities in the development and implementation of a quality Activity Program in the Personal Care and Special Care areas

  • 1 year or more experience working in a retirement community or with a senior population is desired, though not a requirement

  • College education completed, AA or AS Degree desired


dining services

Culinary Staff - Part time and On Call positions

  • Server Prepare dining room for meal service, serve meals to residents, attending to their needs throughout the meal (weeknights)
  • Busser - Set up kitchen and dining room stations before, during and after meal service

 

Dishwasher - Full time (AM Shifts 6:00am - 2:30pm)

Washes all china, dishes, silverware, pots, pans and utensils using appropriate chemicals, detergents and equipment

  • Minimum Education required: H.S. diploma or GED preferred

  • Minimum Experience required: none

  • Must be able to speak and understand conversational English

 

 

Dietary Cook - Full time

This is a dedicated position for our new state of the art Healthcare Kitchen

  • Minimum of one (1) year prior cooking experience in a commercial kitchen

  • Able to follow a written recipe

  • Strong sanitation skills with additional cleaning duties assigned on other shifts as staffing needs dictate

  • ServSafe Certification is a plus

  • Able to stand for long periods, walk, bend, reach and lift up to 75 pounds

  • Must understand, write and speak English fluently

  • Punctuality a must with local candidates strongly preferred

  • Previous Experience with Therapeutic Diets is a plus.

  • Must be Available to Work Nights, Weekends and Holidays


ADMINISTRATION

Receptionist - On-Call

Serves as initial in-person and telephone contact for residents and guests of Casa Dorinda

  • Work in beautiful surroundings, work with the elderly, fun job

  • Great for retired person


SECURITY

Officer - 3pm - 1130pm Tuesday through Saturday

Officer - 11pm - 730am

Responsible for overall protection of Casa Dorinda residents, staff, and property.

  • Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High school graduate or GED

  • Minimum Experience required: Previous experience in Security position preferred; previous experience working with elderly is desirable
