OPEN TABLE NEWS

Our CASA OPEN TABLE is going well except when no host has signed up. We need more hosts/hostesses; 48 people have already participated as hosts, some several times. HOW ABOUT YOU? Hosting is easy, fun and promotes sociability among residents. When a host person signs up, the resident guests follow, and a dinner party is in the making. Please consult the suggested procedure, pick a Thursday or Saturday date, and sign up to host a table. You'll enjoy it. Your cooperation is much appreciated. Call Pat Moylan at # 8131 with any questions. Thank you!

MUSIC ACADEMY OF THE WEST SUMMER FESTIVAL 2017 - BEGINNING JUNE 12

Since 1947, the Music Academy of the West has fostered a uniquely joyful engagement with music. Each June, over 140 gifted young classical singers and instrumentalists, selected entirely for their talent and professional promise, gather for eight weeks in Santa Barbara to study with illustrious guest artists, conductors, and faculty - all to the delight of participating audiences. Many Masterclasses and concerts are open to the public. For a brochure or to obtain your tickets, please call the Music Academy at 969-8787. You may also find additional information on their website at http://www.musicacademy.org. A sample brochure is located in the Mail Room. Based on previous years’ requests and attendance, we will provide a bus to the Solo Piano Masterclass each Monday, departing at 12:30 pm, June 12 through July 31. The sign-up sheet is in the Mail Room.

Please Note: If there are any Music Academy events you would like to attend, Casa Activities is able to provide transportation if five or more people are interested in a single event or a series. Please contact Activities with your requests with at least three weeks’ notice, so we can effectively schedule transportation.
